Competitors are advised that Supplementary Regulations for Repco Rally Australia, Round 10 of the World Rally Championship, have been released and are available from here.

Entries are expected to include 12 WRC vehicles as well as 12 PWRC teams who have nominated Repco Rally Australia as one of their events for this year, together with numerous Australian and Overseas Privateers in FIA homologated vehicles. Entries close on 5 August so competitors have a little over a month to lodge their entries and are encouraged to get in early.

Repco Rally Australia will have its service park located in Kingscliff, with Rally Headquarters approximately 6km away at Mantra on SALT Beach. The Special Stages will held be on a combination of tight twisty and fast flowing gravel public roads in the Tweed and Kyogle Shires within approximately 2 hours drive from the service park.

The rally will commence on Thursday 3rd September with shakedown, followed by a Rally Show and Super Special Stage in Murwillumbah.

Friday has the crews contesting 106kms of gravel special stages, followed by the Super Special Stage in the early evening. On Saturday crews will compete over 113kms of special stages, before returning for a final run over the Super Special Stage early evening.

Sunday has competitors again travelling west for the final 123kms of special stages, with a Remote Service in the main street of Kyogle. A “live TV” stage of 22.3km is confirmed as the final competitive stage of the rally.

Rally Australia has also received permission from the FIA to adopt certain aspects of the new 2010 WRC Vehicle Eligibility Regulations for the September event. The new regulation allows up to 15 CAMS certified cars to be invited to compete in a National Division of the Event. Competitors are referred to Article 3.1 of the Supplementary Regulations for a full description, but in summary:

• Vehicles must be based on cars currently admitted to WRC,
• Vehicles must comply with technical regulations for “CAMS Production Rally Cars (PRC)”,
• Competitors must comply with all event regulations including the use of the control tyre and FIA safety equipment and attire,
• Crews contesting the National Division will not be included in the general classification,
• FIA seeded drivers are not permitted to enter the National Division.

Rally Australia invites competitors interested in one of the limited positions in the National Division to submit a written application detailing the nominated crew, vehicle specifications and rational for why the vehicle should be considered in the National Division compared to other FIA vehicle classes. Applications should be submitted to Janah Mclean at janah.mclean@rallyaustralia.com.au no later than 14th July 2009. Competitors invited to participate in the National Division will be advised shortly thereafter.
