Rally Australia To Host Community Consultation Sessions At Murwillumbah, Kingscliff

Repco Rally Australia will host “open house” community consultation sessions at Murwillumbah and Kingscliff later this week..

The sessions will be held in the Murwillumbah Shire Council auditorium on Friday from 9 am to 12 noon and at the Kingscliff Community Centre on Saturday from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The sessions will provide an opportunity for community members to inspect copies of a series of reports released recently by the rally on ecological, noise, dust and socio-economic impacts, plus plans for koala management, traffic management and waste management.

Rally staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Garry Connelly, chairman of the rally organising committee, said the sessions were part of an ongoing commitment to keeping all parts of the community informed.

“These will not be meetings, but opportunities for individuals to have their questions about the rally answered. We also encourage people to take the opportunity to have a close look at printed copies of the reports, which contain hundreds of pages of important information that has been independently compiled,” he said.

“It will be the third occasion on which we have offered to meet the public directly and we look forward to many people attending.”

The meeting schedule is -
Friday 12 June: 9 am – 12 noon, Murwillumbah Auditorium (Tweed Shire Council, Tumbulgum Road, Murwillumbah)
Saturday 13 June: 2 pm – 5 pm, Kingscliff Community Centre (Marine Parade, Kingscliff)
