Rally Australia To Hold Community Consultation Session At Kyogle Tomorrow
REPCO Rally Australia will host the first of three “open house” community consultation sessions at Kyogle tomorrow.
The session will be held at the Kyogle Hall in Stratheden Street from 9 am to 12 noon.
Other sessions will be at Murwillumbah on Friday and Kingscliff on Saturday.
The sessions will provide an opportunity for community members to inspect copies of a series of reports released recently by the rally on ecological, noise, dust and socio-economic impacts, plus plans for koala management, waste management and carbon offsetting.
Rally staff also will be on hand to answer questions.
Garry Connelly, chairman of the rally organising committee, said the sessions were part of an ongoing commitment to keeping all parts of the community informed.
“These will not be meetings, but opportunities for individuals to have their questions about the rally answered. We also encourage people to take the opportunity to have a close look at printed copies of the reports, which contain hundreds of pages of important information that has been independently compiled,” he said.
“It will be the third occasion on which we have offered to meet the public directly and we look forward to many people attending.”
The meeting schedule is -
Wednesday 10 June: 9 am – 12 noon, Kyogle Hall (Stratheden Street, Kyogle)
Friday 12 June: 9 am – 12 noon, Murwillumbah Auditorium (Tweed Shire Council, Tumbulgum Road, Murwillumbah)
Saturday 13 June: 2 pm – 5 pm, Kingscliff Community Centre (Marine Parade, Kingscliff)
